George J Kurka Jr - Artist & Illustrator

George Kurka was born in Cleveland, Ohio in 1970. George works predominantly in oils, but has been known to work in ink and pastels. George exceled in art in his early years and graduated from the Art Institute of Pittsburg in Graphic design in 2014.

Some of George’s past ventures include co-owner of Fates Productions in Cleveland, Ohio. With this company he produced fine art, production art, and logo design. He has taken part in many pop up art shows around the Cleveland and Akron area. He now is a resident artist at ACoT, Art Center on Tusk, in Barberton, Ohio where his Visual Infection studio is.

Most of George’s work could be labeled as surreal, but is not stuck in a certain genre. Landscapes and figurative art is also a place that is not new to him.
